چکیده
The Sichuan Basin is a significant region for exploration and development of shale gas in China, it essential to clarify the impact deep reservoir parameters on cost-effective at scale ensure national energy security. Rock physics modeling means communicating physical elastic rocks. A rock method applicable fractured reservoirs proposed current situation complex fluid relationships unclear characteristics identification seismic response. In this paper, based Self Consistent Approximation (SCA) model differential effective medium (DEM) model, anisotropic source used as starting point add bound water, kerogen, clay, brittle minerals, Schoenberg linear slip theory fracture disturbance effects, then Brown–Korringa perform replacement under conditions. Finally obtained, established analysis parameters, Thomsen weakness parameters. tests were performed southern an example. experimental results show that by process can accurately invert longitudinal transverse wave velocities shale, which provide conceptual basis study reservoirs.

Rock physics characterization of shale reservoirs: a case study
Unconventional resources are typically very complex to model, and the production from this type of reservoirs is influenced by such complexity in their microstructure. This microstructure complexity is normally reflected in their geophysical response, and makes them more difficult to interpret. Rock physics play an important role to resolve such complexity by integrating different subsurface di...
متن کاملModeling capillary barriers in unsaturated fractured rock
[1] This work presents a series of numerical modeling studies that investigate the hydrogeologic conditions required to form capillary barriers and the effect that capillary barriers have on fluid flow and tracer transport processes in the unsaturated fractured rock of Yucca Mountain, Nevada, a potential site for storing high-level radioactive waste. The modeling approach is based on a dual-con...

Vve examine seismic waves scattered from anisotropic heterogeneity with laboratory data and numerical modeling in order to develop modeling techniques for the characterization of fracture p'roperties in tight gas sands from surface seismic reflection data. Laboratory models representing features of a fractured reservoir were constructed using Phenolite (the "reservoir") embedded in a Lucite bac...
متن کاملSPE 139250 Analysis of Mechanisms of Flow in Fractured Tight-Gas and Shale-Gas Reservoirs
In this paper we analyze by means of numerical simulation the mechanisms and processes of flow in two types of fractured tight gas reservoirs: shale and tight-sand systems. The numerical model includes Darcy’s law as the basic equation of multiphase flow and accurately describes the thermophysical properties of the reservoir fluids, but also incorporates other options that cover the spectrum of...
